Delicious Gyoza Recipe Using Japanese Sesame Sauce

Vegetable Gyoza

Ingredients
  • 1 Tbs Spiral Organic Shoyu
  • 1 Tbs Spiral Organic Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tbs Spiral Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 30-40 gyoza wrappers
  • 200g silken tofu
  • 1/2 Tsp. Sea Salt
  • Pinch black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Chinese cabbage (cooked)
  • 1/3 cup daikon leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/3 cup mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup chives (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Dipping sauce
  • 1 tbs Spiral Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbs Spiral Organic Shoyu
  • Pinch shichimi pepper
Directions
  • Mix together daikon leaves, mushrooms, silken tofu, sea salt, Spiral Organic Shoyu, Japanese Sesame Sauce and Spiral Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil into a bowl.
  • Spread out the gyoza wrappers and add a spoonful of mixture in the centre.
  • Dip your fingers in a bowl of water and line the gyoza wrapper with water along the edges.
  • Fold the gyoza wrapper in half and pleat the edges of the dumpling.
  • Make the dipping sauce by combining the Spiral Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Spiral Organic Shoyu in a bowl.
  • Add oil to a frying pan and fry the gyoza in rows on the pan until golden.
  • Steam the gyoza for 4-5 minutes, then remove the life and allow the remaining water to evaporate.
